WELCOME TO POSTAGEVFX.COM v3.0 ::
Well it’s here, the new Postage, Inc. website. If you’re a first time visitor, we’ve migrated our blog posts from the old site, so dig in and get a feel for what we do and what we’re into. For those of you who are regular visitors, we hope the wordpress base makes it easier for you to find what you’re looking for and what you’re interested in.
Joe and I would like to thank Good Productions for their hard work on this. If you need to get your data untangled and accessible, Jeff Rummel is a good person to talk to.
Again, for the first-timers, what you’ll find here is information, experience and opinions about motion graphics, visual effects, 3D and 2D animation as well as technologies that are becoming more widely available and affordable. We hope that everyone from the seasoned multi-media artist to the curious art-lover will enjoy the site and it’s contents.
We post information about productions we’re working on. (The ones that don’t fall under “top-secret” classification) as well as reviews on the new equipment and software we get in at the Postage world headquarters. Those projects which are more secretive… well, we hope that they will be unveiled sooner or later or you’ll just happen to see our names in the credit of the movie. We just have to deal with hollywood politics sometimes
We spread good news about friends and associates and express our love for Lancaster, PA, a big bursting bucket full of creative minds, passionate individuals and hearty farmland. If you’re reading this, we’re excited that you’ve already decided to be a part of our web presence and we hope that you find yourself interacting with it regularly.
Hey community!… Let’s continue making great media together.

SHAKING THROUGH – WEATHERVANE MUSIC ::
Rarely do we have the opportunity to work on something as close to our hearts as local music. When I say close to my heart I mean it. Personally, I’ve toured the United States a number of times with more than a couple of bands and I know how hard it can be to get a leg up on the music industry. I mean look at what you are up against. Large conglomerates who either promote your show, book your venue, or sell your tickets who demand a chunk of your already meager tour money. There were many days that I went without a per diem or paid gas out of pocket and then there were many months where rent had to wait to pay for a recording session… one that was tired because we had to fit it all in to a tiny budget. All ranting aside, at the end of the day it’s hard to imagine doing all of that… and then forming and running an organization who does it for other people who deserve it. Postage is proud to donate some of our creativity and some of our technology to producing certain motion graphic aspects of an upcoming series highlighting the work of Weathervane Music.
Shaking Through: Floating Action from Weathervane Music on Vimeo.
From weathervanemusic.org “Weathervane Music is a new non-profit, community supported production company making music and video to support and advance the careers of amazing independent musicians. Unlike traditional for-profit production or record companies, the vast majority of proceeds from the recordings of this music go straight to the artists. We work with select independent musicians each year, and we intend to do it every year, for many to come.” Their staff is made up of media and artists from around the Philadelphia Area as are the Board Members and though young, they are heavily supported. The series which we are endorsing with our time and attention is called “Shaking Through” which is a partnership between Weathervane and WXPN, Philadelphia. The series is officially launched today and actually creates an internet montage of the aforementioned recording sessions. Theres something about watching creativity take place as there is something magical about the moment a group of musicians commit their art to recording.
