PROOF OF PURPOSE:: “THE CHAMELEON CLUB” ::
LANCASTER PREMIERE EVENING
We sat in the theatre and ran tests. Harvey Owen wanted to get it just right. “From the top!”, shouted Harvey. The film was digitally re-racked and we waited for our cues. Lit by the flickering of the first hundred frames of my latest film, the Ware center’s modern and purpose-filled acoustical structure looked like the inside of some giant space ark ready to take off. It made me wish that the intro to the film was the scrolling storyline of “A New Hope.” But I guess, you can’t recreate that sort of greatness. It was at rehearsal that I realized the gravity of what “The Chameleon Club” (A Documentary Film) was experiencing.

No Sanctuary Film:: Titles by Postage, Inc. ::
A while back, I was invited to a young actors audition/critique by ITS (In the Spotlight) Talent Agency. When I got there I saw a few of our friends from Go, LLC and Jake Stetler whom I had never met. Jake and I exchanged cards, later checked each others websites out and followed up. Jake had used ITS talent services for some of his own projects and we’d used the agency to cast commercials. We were happy that Tara from ITS provided us with the opportunity to meet… because several months later, as his production pipeline moved steadily along, Jake approached us about doing titles for his film.
What especially attracts us to the idea aside from our love of working with creative independents is that the titles of No Sanctuary are an important part of the story. Jake visualizes a history-book style prelude to the cinematic film incorporating subtle but meaningful motion into etched and drawn pictures:
“I am very excited to be working with the creative professionals at Postage. Being able to utilize a local company makes the process even more attractive. I feel it is important to put Lancaster County on the map as a filmmaking community. Joseph Krzemienski & Courland Ellis are producing a credit sequence that is crucial in several ways. It needs to establish the mood of the film, touch on a few important story points, and honor the work that so many people have put into the making of No Sanctuary. The sequence, inspired by a graphic novel, introduces the antagonists, Midnight Jack and the Highwaymen, in a very cool and stylized way. The visuals that I have seen so far have surpassed my expectations.”
-Jake Stetler
Producer/Director: No Sanctuary
In addition to the title sequence, Postage Principal, Allen Clements created some CG elements for the film’s Visual Effects which were produced by friend of Postage, Sarah Treusdell.
