New Postage Inc. Intern – Elyse Brown ::

As a Junior-year Communications major at Millersville University, I am excited to begin my internship at Postage Inc. At school I am concentrating in the field of Broadcasting, which has sparked my interest in writing, on-camera jobs, production, and post-production. I have always prided myself on my communication and writing skills and I hope to have a career for which I can use them. I have developed my creative and personal skills through my education as well as by working with my father and his advertisting company. With that in mind, working as a Public Relations intern at this post-production firm will be a perfect way to expand my knowledge and already exhisting passion of the field.

My future duties include writing press releases about Postage Inc. games, working with social media, and performing research. This Friday I will be working alongside Public Relations specialist, Clint Weiler. Clint, who is based in Philadelphia, will be coming to Postage for the day to help me construct a press release for Postage’s pinball shuffle game.

While working with Allen and everyone at Postage Inc. I know I will learn much from my experience here. This internship will allow me to apply my skills in a new work environment, which I am excited to explore.

PROOF OF PURPOSE:: “THE CHAMELEON CLUB” ::

LANCASTER PREMIERE EVENING

We sat in the theatre and ran tests. Harvey Owen wanted to get it just right. “From the top!”, shouted Harvey.  The film was digitally re-racked and we waited for our cues. Lit by the flickering of the first hundred frames of my latest film, the Ware center’s modern and purpose-filled acoustical structure looked like the inside of some giant space ark ready to take off. It made me wish that the intro to the film was the scrolling storyline of “A New Hope.”  But I guess, you can’t recreate that sort of greatness.  It was at rehearsal that I realized the gravity of what “The Chameleon Club” (A Documentary Film) was experiencing.

No Time for Love Dr. Jones ::

Just a quick update as we approach the second week of no Screen Shot Friday in the midst of very cool projects and some challenging but worthwhile deadlines!

  • ALLEN IS HAVING A BABY! Any day now… Remy James Clements will be born any moment now and next week we’ll start him in After Effects. :)
  • JOE IS GETTING MARRIED! Early September. Big times for the Postage, Inc. principals, eh?
  • We are working on a super cool project with Ironbound Films. You HAVE to check these guys out. They make acclaimed documentary films and do some really sweet, forward, engaging corporate stuff too. http://ironboundfilms.com/
  • Yesterday was a fantastic shoot for the NSVRC which took us throughout South and West Lancaster County.  Thanks to the amazing services provided by Director of Photography Bill Simone, his talented and experienced crew, our partner Kelly Dantinne, Inis and June (Wardrobe and Makeup) and many location, talent and service volunteers, we were able to do five locations in a moderate day and come away with exactly what we needed and a relaxed feeling throughout the day.  THANK YOU! I highly recommend EVERYONE that we worked with yesterday.
  • Thanks also to these fine businesses and people for offering us a place to film our PSA: Snaveley’s in Lancaster, Bob Funk of Conestoga township, Steve Bailey of the Maytown Fire Police, Mike Conroy and his family of the adorable Prospect Diner, and Brian Weaver for the use of his home.
  • Next week we’re posting a very cool spot for York Volkswagen one of our old and favorite clients. We will be chugging along on CGI for the NSVRC spot and early next week delivery of the Ironbound Films project.  It truly has been a busy and fantastic summer.
