SHARON VAN ETTEN, SHAKES THROUGH ::
Postage is a proud contributor to Philadelphia based “New Music Incubator” Shaking Through. A collaboration of Weather Vane Music and WXPN. As strong supporters of up and coming artists, it warms our hearts when fantastic talent gets noticed and all of that hard work seems to be paying off. Since her featured Shaking Through Episode, Sharon Van Etten has been popping up on my radar regularly. Whether through NPR podcasts or Pitchfork Reviews of her New Album, Sharon seems to be making some real headway in the journey from just passion to passion and profit. In case you missed her episode catch it again below and don’t forget to download her free single “Love More” produced by Weathervane. Good luck Sharon.

PENNSYLVANIA REPRESENTS – ON: THE ROAD ::
Last night I had the pleasure of watching “The Road” a second time. The first was at a Philadelphia film society special screening shortly after the film was completed and shortly before the film began the festival circuit. The second and most recent time I clicked a few buttons on my Apple TV and was able to rent it. Love tech. The Road is a film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Cormac McCarthy whose name may sound familiar to film buffs for he also wrote the book “No Country for Old Men.”

POSTAGE WINS BIG IN PHILADELPHIA ::
Last night “American Terror Company Man”… a film right out of the Postage VFX studio won best animated short at the Philadelphia Cinefest 2009. We are very proud of Joe and all of our artists that worked on this short film. The trophy was a prize-fighters championship belt which Joe held over his head triumphantly before giving a very awesome acceptance speech.

Left to Right: Joseph Krzemienski, Dominic Vivona & Allen Clements
If you haven’t yet seen the film, we invite you to watch it Here. This weekend is Lancaster‘s film festival, Rumschpringe, which we are looking forward to.
Congratulations Joe! and to the comic’s creator, Jeff McComsey, for producing such great material! Thanks to the staff at Cinefest for treating us so well and thanks to the viewers and friends who were so supportive and invested so much time in the project.
