Postage is a proud contributor to Philadelphia based “New Music Incubator” Shaking Through. A collaboration of Weather Vane Music and WXPN. As strong supporters of up and coming artists, it warms our hearts when fantastic talent gets noticed and all of that hard work seems to be paying off. Since her featured Shaking Through Episode, Sharon Van Etten has been popping up on my radar regularly. Whether through NPR podcasts or Pitchfork Reviews of her New Album, Sharon seems to be making some real headway in the journey from just passion to passion and profit. In case you missed her episode catch it again below and don’t forget to download her free single “Love More” produced by Weathervane. Good luck Sharon.
Last night I had the pleasure of watching “The Road” a second time. The first was at a Philadelphia film society special screening shortly after the film was completed and shortly before the film began the festival circuit. The second and most recent time I clicked a few buttons on my Apple TV and was able to rent it. Love tech. The Road is a film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Cormac McCarthy whose name may sound familiar to film buffs for he also wrote the book “No Country for Old Men.”
Queens-based hardcore act, Sick of it All has been busy lately. As a somewhat collaborative release between Universal Warning Records and the bands new label, Century Media. ”Based on a True Story” will be released in April. The record will be the band’s first release in four years and include a DVD video which is where we come in.
The DVD itself features three songs from a very professional multi-camera shoot in New York City (Postage Principal, Allen Clements also was a camera operator during the New York Show) we were then asked to produce an animated intro for the DVD by Universal Warning and Grata Video in Philadelphia which can be found leading up to and throughout the menu selection on the DVD.
Based On A True Story was released on April 27, 2010 through Century Media and is available now at record stores everywhere.

Last night “American Terror Company Man”… a film right out of the Postage VFX studio won best animated short at the Philadelphia Cinefest 2009. We are very proud of Joe and all of our artists that worked on this short film. The trophy was a prize-fighters championship belt which Joe held over his head triumphantly before giving a very awesome acceptance speech.
Left to Right: Joseph Krzemienski, Dominic Vivona & Allen Clements
Congratulations Joe! and to the comic’s creator, Jeff McComsey, for producing such great material! Thanks to the staff at Cinefest for treating us so well and thanks to the viewers and friends who were so supportive and invested so much time in the project.
