The Fictory, intitolato “Atomic Robo: Last Stop“.

ATOMIC ROBO IN SECOND-TIER PRODUCTION ::

Weekend sessions have resumed for Postage sister-studio, “thefictory” in their creation of a short film, “Atomic Robo – Last Stop” which is an adaptation or even, an exclusive episode of the popular Red 5 comic series.

A quick stroll online would illuminate the comic’s uber-fandom, something creaters Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener don’t take for granted.  In fact, they carefully stoke and fuel the fires on their blog which contains everything Robo.

As far as thefictory is concerned, this is an ideal project to sink their teeth into for several reasons including it’s independent popularity but also the ability for a short film to increase it’s readership/viewership.  Many talented friends of Postage/thefictory have been working tirelessly to keyframe, tween, color, animate and anything else you can imagine would go into an animated short film.  It’s really amazing to see the animation staff here go into action and you can visualize a dotted line going from one computer to a light table into a pencil and back to another computer… a virtual, etheral assembly line. Daily video updates reveal that the work has a final destination and a purpose.

As with previous projects, Joseph and thefictory haven’t exactly set a finish date yet. When it is done it’s done. A comfortable change from commercial production work… it really allows them to finesse the project and bring it to it’s full potential.  You can keep up-to-date by visiting thefictory.com blog where Director Joseph Krzemienski keeps tentative eyes fed.
